I love harvesting these little guys. The Scarlet Elf Cup. In traditional medicine, elf cups were placed on the navels of newborns to promote healing! Folklore says that fairies & elves drank morning dew from the cups or its where they bathed. 🍄🌱🍄‍🟫 They grow in very cool, shady conditions, usually on fallen wood. Yes they are edible (I plan to dry mine & use them in a pasta dish). Not to be confused with the ruby elf cup (only identifying difference are the tiny hairs visible by a microscope on the ruby ones). 🌱🍄
